Yop Post # 22

The hat is done! I wont show any pics till after Christmas. This is not, as some may think, because I want the finished hat to be a suprise for you guys too but instead it is because I was so excited to get it done I imediately wrapped it for Christmas. *sigh* I completely forgot to take a pic first.

I also finished the Leisel Scarf which only came out to 4 feet and a few inches. No where near long enough for a scarf so I sewed the ends together and made it into a cowl. I don't know if I will be keeping it or not but I really like it. It all depends on if someone unexpected comes to the family party and if that someone is a girl.

My  kid wants a Guinnea Pig fro Christmas. But not just a guinnea pig, Oh no, a guinnea pig from SANTA which makes it all a bit harder since I've no place to stash an animal for a few days to a week (which is when all the pet stores close for the holiday) nor do I have a cage and supplies for the thing either. Santa better get a move on! (^_^) What crazy things have your kids asked Santa for?

All in all no pics this week but Christmas is a very busy time for just about everybody so a little slacking off on the posting front is acceptable. Right?

You could tell him Santa can't bring animals and get out of that. So glad my DD never asked for pets...kids never take care of them after they ask for them. The cowl sounds like a good solution to the short scarf problem.

We had a guinea pig in my 2/3 class named Yum Yum. She was sweet but oh so dang messy!
I'm with Sandy's logic. Maybe your daughter can request one for her birthday?

Too funny - you wrapped the hat right away in your excitement at having it done! YAY Christmas!

Well done for getting the hat done, looking forward to seeing it when it's unwrapped!

Can Santa bring a knitted guinea pig? Maybe even if it were to go help pick a real one out when shops reopen, or maybe a knitted one would fit the bill as it is?

Just a thought!

Well done on getting the hat complete, looking forward to seeing it after the xmas. Ours have never asked for an animal but I would tell them Santa dosen't bring animals and then you can get it before or after the holidays. Ours it seems always ask for something that makes noise and so when we try to put them out quietly it always always goes off, in the dead of night making what seems to be the loudest noise ever ! lol

Lol, congrats on finishing the hat. You must have been very excited! Turning the scarf in to a cowl is a great solution!

I agree, mix a little "Santa can't transport animals" with maybe a book on taking care of guinea pigs that serves as a gift to include a note saying you'll go to the pet store to pick one out. Good save making the scarf into a cowl too!

Thanks for the visit and the comforting words, appreciate it. What did you decide to do about the pig?
